Waste to Art Exhibition and Competition

This exhibition and competition gives emerging and professional artists from the Southern Tablelands Arts and Macarthur Regions the chance to explore and share their waste reduction messages whilst showcasing their artistic abilities. The Illuminate Wollondilly Waste to Art Exhibition and Competition aims to communicate issues and inspire people to think differently about waste, litter and over-consumption through the creative use of waste and recycled materials.

Selected artists will be notified by Email and posted on this site on Monday 29 April 2019.

Tuesday 14 May 
If you have been selected to exhibit please deliver your artwork to the Colden Street Exhibition Space, 72 Colden Street Picton between 10am and 4pm. Alternate delivery times must be negotiated with Illuminate Wollondilly staff.

Wednesday 15 May Exhibition Curation

Thursday 16 May 10am - 1pm, Opening & Exhibition 

Friday 17 May 10am - 1pm, Exhibition

Saturday 18 May 12 Noon - 9pm, Exhibition
Winners of the three (3) categories will be announced at 3.00pm at the Colden Street exhibition space by the Mayor of Wollondilly Shire Council Cr Matthew Deeth.

I certify that the below information is true and correct. I have read the terms and conditions for the Illuminate Waste to Art Exhibition and Competition and agree to participate according to the terms and conditions.

I agree that my artwork may be photographed during the competition and exhibition period by members of the general public.

Finalist and Wining Artists grant to Wollondilly Shire Council and Southern Tablelands Arts a royalty-free, world-wide, non-exclusive licence to use, reproduce, adapt and exploit any such Existing Material in conjunction with the other Contract Material for a period of up to 2 years from the competition closing date. The use of images will include: promotional activities of the event competition & exhibition, social media, web posts, print media, reports and will be non-commercial.

Wollondilly Shire Council will credit the Artist in any media, press releases, promotional material in the program, both on and offline. The Artist/selected participant artwork will be credited e.g. ‘Artist – Sample Resident’ as close as possible to the image.

The Artist warrants that any materials created through the project and their use by Council will not infringe on the intellectual property rights of any person.

Parental consent must be provided for children aged under 16 years.
